Autoship and retention

Designing recurring orders that members keep, with qualification and dunning handled.

Why autoship

Recurring orders are the difference between a launch and a business. They create predictable volume, keep distributors qualified without manual monthly purchases, and turn customers into residual income.

Designing the offer

Make autoship optional, discounted (5 to 10 percent), flexible (skip, swap, change date) and clearly cancellable. Loyalty points that grow with consecutive months are more effective than lock-ins and far safer from a compliance perspective.

Qualification

If a rank requires 100 PV per month, an autoship of 100 PV keeps the distributor qualified automatically. DIRSL evaluates autoship PV in the monthly run and warns members before the cut-off if their order failed.

Dunning

Failed cards are the main leak. Retry on day 1, 3 and 7, notify by email and push, and allow updating the card from the notification. Members whose autoship fails twice are flagged for sponsor follow-up.

Measuring retention

Track active autoship rate, month-6 retention by enrollment cohort, and the share of volume from autoship. Wellness tenants typically run 55 to 65 percent autoship volume; below 40 percent usually signals an offer or product problem.
