Spillover Binary Binary with the team filling your tree.
Spillover binary is a classic binary plan with placement automated so that recruits from upline systematically fill downline positions. In a standard binary, a sponsor can place anyone anywhere; in spillover binary the engine places each new member in the next open position according to a rule, such as 'weaker leg of the sponsor's power leg', 'outside leg' or 'alternate left/right'.
Sponsor enrols a member
The new member's sponsor is recorded in the sponsor tree.
Engine chooses placement
By rule: weaker leg, outside leg, alternating, or the sponsor's selected power leg.
Member lands deep in the tree
Often several levels below the sponsor, under another member who 'receives' the spillover.
Volume rolls up
The new member's volume counts for everyone above them in the placement tree.
Pairing commission
Standard binary payout on the weaker leg, with caps and carry-forward.
Qualification still personal
Members must still personally sponsor and maintain volume to be paid, so spillover alone does not create income.
The pitch is powerful: your upline's recruiting effort lands in your organisation. The compliance caveat is just as important: spillover is a possibility, never a guarantee, and income must still be tied to product sales.
DIRSL supports every common auto-placement rule, shows members where their next recruit will land, and tracks spillover vs. personally sponsored members separately for reporting and qualification.
A real cycle, line by line.
A new member's first month with spillover
- Pairing 10% weekly on weaker leg, cap $500/wk
- Personal recruits: 2 (one each leg), 200 BV each
- Spillover received: 12 members on left leg, 2,400 BV
- Right leg total: 200 BV; left leg: 2,600 BV
- Qualification: 100 PV + 1 active per leg (met)
The 2,400 BV carry-forward is the real asset: once the right leg grows, it pairs against banked left-leg volume.
Every bonus this plan can pay.
| Bonus | Trigger | Typical | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pairing bonus | Weaker leg volume | 8–12% | Capped |
| Sponsor bonus | Personal enrolment | $20–$50 | Encourages real sponsoring |
| Spillover receiver bonus | Receiving placed members | Usually none | Volume only |
| Matching bonus | Sponsored members' pairing | 10–20% | Sponsor-tree based |
| Rank bonus | Leg milestones | $100–$10,000 |

Strengths and watch-outs.
Strengths
- Highly motivating for new members
- Keeps the tree balanced automatically
- Simplifies sponsor decisions
- Builds depth quickly
Watch-outs
- Risk of members expecting income without selling
- Regulators scrutinise spillover marketing claims
- Spillover recipients may have no relationship with the sponsor
- Still has carry-forward and flush complexity
A typical five-rank progression.
Where this plan wins.
Questions about this plan.
If the company allows it, you can choose a leg or an exact position; otherwise the auto-placement rule applies.
Only if people above you enrol members and the rule places them under you. It is not guaranteed.
Usually not. Most companies require personally sponsored actives on each leg.
Members are flagged as 'personal' or 'spillover' in the tree and in reports.
Power-leg binary is a type of spillover binary where everyone's recruits go to one designated leg.
Yes. The rule applies to future placements; existing positions are unchanged.
Terms you'll hear.
- Power leg
- The leg upline is building; often receives spillover.
- Profit leg
- The leg you build personally to pair against the power leg.
- Outside leg
- The outermost position in a leg; a common placement rule.
- Personal vs spillover
- Whether a member was placed by you or by upline.
- Placement rule
- The algorithm the engine uses to position new members.
